The observation
When we embark on an ultralight flight, we usually know where we are going and may have shared this information with our friends and family.
However, in reality, no one knows exactly where we are. Some smartphone applications can transmit our position,
but sharing this information and using it effectively can still be improved. The promise microtrak® is a GPS safety tag for ultralights.
It is activated upon detection of power contact and automatically transmits its position every 15 seconds.
It can be plugged into the dashboard via USB and its very small size and weight (20 grams)
allow for permanent installation on board without requiring any special attention from the pilot.
